Can I add contacts from outside my team?
Prose is a team communication app, where you are part of a private community of people and can safely exchange messages and files with people you know. Some usecases might however require you to exchange with people from the outside, eg. other Prose servers. It is possible!
You can add an external contact by:
Going to the People & Channels section.
Clicking on the top right Add External Contact button.
Enter the address of the external contact (username and server domain).
Your server policy might not allow adding external contacts, check with your server administrator if this does not work.
People from the outside can also send you invites. Those contact request invites will appear in the Invites area of the People & Channels section. Those invites can be Accepted, or Declined.
Once you added an external contact or accepted an invite, you can manage all your authorized external contacts in the People area of the People & Channels section.
You cannot remove contacts from your team, those are managed by your Prose server administrator.
