Accessing the Prose Web application

Prose is available as a Web app for Web browsers. It is very convenient to connect to your Prose account on the go when you do not have a Prose app installed.

Accessing Prose

To login to your Prose account from the Prose Web app:

Open the domain name of your Prose Pod server (ask your administrator if you do not know the domain).
Login to your Prose account.

👉 Alternatively, you can also use the Prose Web App from the official Prose website.

Since Web browsers are only capable of connecting to services over HTTPS or WebSocket, the connection to your server will be relayed through a WebSocket server. This might make it impossible for you to connect to non-Prose compliant XMPP servers. Use a dedicated Prose app if you need native XMPP connection.
